"I can't dance to every song"

A journalist asked a shoes salesman, "What's your secret?" he says, two, not three. If a woman comes into my store and asks for a pair of shoes, I'll bring them to her, and when she asks for another, I'll bring her the 2nd pair, and if she asked for a third, I'd bring them to her and then ask, "which one would you like for me to take away?".. He found that when people had too much choice, they often didn't buy anything. And if they only had the option of two, they made a purchase.

The paradox of choice.. if you’re presented with too much choice, the idea of choosing becomes overwhelming.
We often talk ourselves out of making decisions. When presented with too many choices, we somehow convince ourselves that there is no decision to make. When in fact, we are a prisoner of our own choices. The luxury of choice is 'a gift and a curse" .. 'One of those good problems" .. Abundance is a luxury of confusion that can paralyze progress.
"You miss every shot you don't take" is a quote I would hear often.. So what do you do? Do you take every shot? That can be trouble too and in the end work against you. Even though greed is good. Greed, or taking every shot can leave you unfocused or overworked. The option to decide... the option to do or act. The option to decide at all can be exhausting. So what do you do?.. Eliminate the options. Weigh your options.. "I can't dance to every song". Critique each possible outcome of each option. Eliminate the options until you have two, not three.
