This rule was created to help identify the weaker link(s) within your circle. The people that you surround yourself with but are reluctant to establish. A person(s) that you feel can be swayed by outside influence or an inflictive situations. Fire a pistol in the air and watch who jumps out the window is a metaphor for intentionally creating an uncomfortable environment for a person(s) for the purpose of observing their reaction to you and the situation. This is a test.. A test that places a persons worth, purpose, and morals on the line. Be careful.. if you're not prepared for the result.
Fire a pistol in the air; is a metaphor for intentionally creating a hazardous environment.. there's no reason to fire a shot, much less, in the air.. it's almost pointless, however it alarms people. It makes people uncomfortable. Specifically, those that have your best interest at the bottom of their list. Although the sound of a gun shot is distinct, the bullet is not direct.. which, can leave someone in a state of confusion.. forcing them to act instinctually, to make a choice.. make a decision.. to either stand up straight, position their back against yours, to protect you and themselves.. or.. do they cower and jump out the window to save themselves.
Watch who Jumps Out the Window.. an unstable environment has been created. A set of unpredictable reactions has been set in motion.. but the choice to jump out the window should be the last option for those that call themselves your friend. It's a cowardice act.. selfish. They chose "me" over "us".. Although each scenario is subjective and different variables may play a part into why that person chose to jump.. those variables should not concern you and you should remove that person from your "circle".. However, unless you are willing to deal with the consequences of those variables, that may be placed above you if and when a real shot is fired.
Rules Of Engagement R.O.E are a set of internal rules that define the degree and/or manner in which the use of strategic thought and action(s) are applied. Rules Of Engagement must be consistent, while accounting for a variety of potential uncertainties. Each rule is singular and can stand on its own to achieve the result in which you desire.. or rules can be assembled and utilized simultaneously. Rules of Engagement does not dictate how a result is to be achieved, but will guide what measures are unacceptable.
